The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has a strong record of partnerships with industry including funding for research programmes and projects, postgraduate studentships, consultancies and collaborations.

Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research

Established in 1996 as a centre of excellence in research and training of pharmacokinetics, the Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research (CAPKR) acts as a consortium, and operates in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Pharmaceutical Industry Advanced Training (PIAT)

Developed in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry, PIAT is a postgraduate-level training programme designed for scientists and managers working in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in the fields of product development, manufacturing and quality assurance.

University of Manchester Intellectual Property Ltd (UMIP)

UMIP is the University of Manchester's managing agent for intellectual property commercialisation. UMIP staff work closely with academics within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to identify opportunities and implement the best route to commercialisation.
