The School is home to research centres concerned with the management of research programmes and the continuing professional development of community pharmacists in England. They are as follows:

Academy for the Study and Development of the Pharmacy Workforce
Commonly known as the 'The Workforce Academy', this academic organisation undertakes research and development on the pharmacy workforce and community pharmacy

Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research (CAPKR)
Developing methodologies to accelerate the discovery and development of better and safer drugs

Centre for Innovation in Practice (CIP)
Innovation, quality, safety and governance in community pharmacy. Centre affiliated to The Workforce Academy

Centre for Pharmacy Workforce Studies (CPWS)
Pharmacist and support-staff employment issues. Centre affiliated to The Workforce Academy

National centre for Pharmaceutical Industry Advanced Training (PIAT)
Postgraduate training programme for scientists and managers working in the pharmaceutical industry (product development, manufacturing and quality assurance)

National Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE)
Providing continuing professional development for all pharmacists providing NHS pharmaceutical services in England. Centre affiliated to The Workforce Academy

A centre for the Rational Design of Molecular Diagnostics
