Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE)
The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) is funded by the Department of Health to provide continuing education for practising pharmacists and pharmacy technicians providing NHS services in England.
Since 1991, the centre has focused on the design and delivery of programmes on the national and local needs for pharmacists providing NHS services. In 2006. a number of exciting changes have been instigated in response to the learning needs of the changing pharmacy workforce. These include:
- support for the pharmacy team skill mix, with the launch of the pharmacy technician programme
- development of 'learning@lunch' materials to meet the needs of the hospital pharmacy team
- risk management and patient safety events for prison pharmacy.
