Research

Moetaza is currently working on her PhD at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences which involves evaluating the use of biological therapies in rheumatoid arthritis. Several biological therapies have recently been launched and there is a need to study their effectiveness, safety and cost–effectiveness in “real-life” settings. This is a collaborative project between the Centre for Innovation in Practice (CIP) and the Arthritis Research Campaign (ARC) Epidemiology Unit at the University of Manchester.

Biography

Moetaza Soliman has been a PhD student within the Centre for Innovation in Practice (CIP) at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, since September 2008. Previously, during her Masters degree, Moetaza studied the preparation and evaluation (in-vitro and in-vivo) of tableted microcapsules containing different drugs. This work was conducted in the Pharmaceutics Department, Mansoura University, Egypt (2001- 2006).p>
