Research

Sam is undertaking a PhD on the topic ‘Exploring the process of professionalisation during the pre-registration training year in pharmacy’ supervised by Dr Ellen Schafheutle and Professor Peter Noyce. Sam is conducting a longitudinal study, using mixed methods, to examine how trainees develop professional attitudes and behaviours during the pre-registration training year following the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree.

Biography

Sam joined the Centre for Pharmacy Workforce Studies within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as a full-time PhD student in September 2010. Prior to this he was completing a master’s degree and working as a research assistant on a project investigating appraisals and other sources of evidence that could contribute to revalidation in pharmacy.
