Drug delivery and pharmacokinetics

Our research efforts focus on the understanding of how a route of drug administration will work and on the development of new routes and new drug vehicles.

Our activities span from materials chemistry and pharmaceutics to in vitro and in vivo tissue models, and from analytical techniques for studying diffusion, distribution and metabolic phenomena to predictive models for modelling them.

Drug delivery

The research in the drug delivery area mostly targets the development of new drug delivery vehicles and in studying their biological interactions.

Pharmacokinetics

Researchers in pharmacokinetics tackle the issues of mechanistic understanding and predicting the fate of the drug in an organ and in the whole body.
