NowNano PhD in NanoScience
Applications are invited for up to 20 PhD places in a Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) in NanoScience. Students will receive state of the art research training in key techniques before embarking on a 3.5 years research project in one of the large spectrum of projects.
PhD funding within the School is primarily provided through the UK Research Councils (BBSRC, MRC, EPSRC) and Industry (AstraZeneca, Pfizer). A number of funded projects provide the opportunity to conduct research within a commercial setting – such projects are advertised as CASE (Collaborative Awards in Sciences and Engineering) studentships.
Funding for non-EU applicants includes the Dorothy Hodgkin Postgraduate Awards (DHPA) and Commonwealth Scholarships.
